Guide’s Choice PACA Long Sleeve Fishing & Travel Shirt
People often ask me about the cool shirts I wear. I get them from Guide’s Choice and wear the colorful ones on the water and the earth tones in the woods. It’s a fishing and a traveling shirt, but I wear them hunting too, on warmer weather jaunts in Africa, for upland birds and for…

Wilsonville, Where the Good Guys Have Lasers and Fast Cars
“If you want a glimpse of the future just look behind you.” Thus begins Fast and Furious 7. When I looked back, I saw myself on the track at Portland International Raceway, in the driver seat of a big block ’66 Ford as the lights on the “Christmas tree” bounced from red to yellow to…

Traditions Pursuit Northwest Edition
Many states in the northwest have restrictive muzzleloader regulations. My home state of Oregon is a prime example. As muzzleloader technology passes Oregon by, hunters have become limited in choices. Most new muzzleloaders are manufactured for a 209 centerfire primer ignition, but many western states limit muzzleloader-season hunters to the use of an exposed breech…

CZ Ringneck 20 gauge
When I gave my favorite over/under to my oldest daughter, I went looking for a new shotgun and I couldn’t find one I liked better (in my price range) than the CZ Ringneck. After hunting with all different styles of shotguns, I keep going back to the side-by-side. This is my third one, but my…

Champion Electronic Earmuffs
