Gary Lewis picks up awards at NOWA Conference
Gary Lewis, of Bend, Oregon, was honored with eight awards in the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association (NOWA) Excellence in Craft contest.
In the Excellence in Craft – Hunting article category, Lewis was awarded 1st Place for To the Patient Hunter, a Blackpowder Pronghorn in Muzzle Blasts. The award was sponsored by Leupold & Stevens. In Hunting (newspaper), Lewis was awarded 1st Place for Hunting Rabbits with a Muzzleloader, published in The Bend Bulletin.
In the Fishing category, Lewis was awarded 1st Place for Steelhead Fishing is Worth the Woes in The Bend Bulletin. Lewis, for The Bulletin, was awarded 2nd Place in Column of the Year.
In Humor, Lewis was awarded 1st Place for The Tracking Collar in Bear Hunting. The award was sponsored by Lone Wolf Distributors, Inc.
In the Audio/Visual category, Lewis was awarded 1st and 2nd Place for two episodes of Gary Lewis’ Adventure Journal TV show.
